Oh you’ve brought me right back to dating… that absent look, that totally strange unending gush of monologue, the self righteous follow-up text… I hope your tuna sandwich was tops though and glad you escaped!
Who's left indeed. Rosana, I am not sure how much of any of this is based on real life, but these two parts have left me with more questions than answers. Like, surely this guy's profile would scream "pretentious asshole" Was he not name-dropping already on the app? Anyway, looking forward to part 3
I love your descriptions. When you wrote, "off white Polo shirt and tennis shoes" but then you didn't mention what type of trousers he was wearing (I have my opinion on the types of trousers or jeans or whatever men wear. Very anti-jegging) and so I pictured him with vacant eyes, the shirt and shoes and then...bottomless. I need the full picture!
"Could I date a woman?" If it meant never having to endure the company of supercilious morons like Dennis ever again? You bet. You made me want to smack him upside the head with a large fish. Good writing.
Dennis is sadly familiar to me. I'm 38 and trying to get up the courage to open the apps again...

As a woman dating in her thirties, I empathize and I’m raging for us 😂🫶🏻
thanks for reading Victoria. It is a hard world out there...

The audacity, indeed! Looking forward to part III.
Reading the outcome of these dates is like looking at a car crash...you can't help but to not look away!
Thanks for part II, Rosanna. It’s a great read, though once again, sorry it was a no go. Gah!
Thank you Wendy. Ha ha everything for the writing. No go means more writing to be done!
True. Everything is copy, as Nora Ephron said!
'Heart burn' was true proof of that
More of this please, more more more.
thanks Shane. I work very slowly but I do my best. You'll have at least one or two more of these
I wish I had thought of the tuna sandwich exit. With my Dennis, I simply went for "Any questions for me, this evening?".
Well played, Rosana. Well played. Even though I would have sent the tuna text first, and then blocked the dope.
Ha ha Kevin, I'll consider it next time.
No, next time is gonna be the last time. Right?
I mean, what could possibly go wrong?
Brilliant
So funny, Rosanna! Hopefully there are many more dates before you actually do choose women…
thank you Steve :) Lovely to read such a comment

Natalie, you've just given me a good idea for a future essay...the guy shows up bottomless. Although that would be a very short one ie essay
Ha!

ha ha Sharron, I love to hear what you think of the characters :) Large fish indeed
Ah, no for tuna!
